To begin... here's a pic of the hospital I'll be working at. It's on Trinity Beach and looks out over the Coaral Sea and Great Barrier Reef.

I'll be one of of a three doctor staff; working a two-week rotation of 4 days one week and 3 days the next, with shared on-call duty. This should leave plenty of play time for golf, fishing, snorkeling, and scuba, exploring, and simple relaxing.

And Rod, the Doc who owns the facility, is a golfer, owns a boat, and his wife runs a sea turtle rehab... talk about a job that's ready to wear!

In September, perhaps earlier, I'll be heading off on my greatest adventure... Australia. It's just a matter of hopping from one beach to another with a 20 hour plane flight in between, really... could it get any easier? Anyway, I've created this blog to keep friends and family up to date with my goings on after my arrival in Cairns, Queensland. Basically, a journal and photo album to brouse through whenever you feel like checking in and it'll cost a bit less than calling to say Hi.
