A small, small world

Hello to my family and friends.

Pat and I had a ball on the dive trip to the Great Barrier Reef. The diving conditions were absolutely crappy so Pat and I spent most of our time snorkeling and hanging with some great folks on the boat. The good news is Pat has finished the classwork and pool dives and only has to finish up with his open water dives sometime in the next year. The better news is I passed my underwater camera on to a new friend, Jennifer (she's the diver in the pic), we met on our diving trip; she had no camera and was more than happy to go down and take some pics so she could document the trip. The wet pics are hers... the dry pics are from me and Pat.

And I simply had to include a pic I took of Raul and Beverly reading the new Harry Potter book (they learned a while ago that they need to buy seperate books when they decide they want a read). And here's where a small, small world comes in... they're from Chicago and I actually played golf with Raul at The Pointe when his group stopped by the Outer Banks three years ago.

A big yowsa to that one!

A friend in Vanuatu

While Pat's away at his first day of PADI diving lessons, I thought I'd post this wondrous picture sent by my friend Jeff who is doing a short stint on the island of Vanuatu. His wife, Megan, misses him ginormously but he'll be back here in Trinity Beach soon... with oodles of stories to tell, I'm sure.

G'day everyone back home and here in Oz :)

Pat and I joined some friends for a going away breakfast at Palm Cove this morning and here's a coupla pics. Pat is playing the part of Drew Barrimore, I'm pulling off a rather poor version of Cameron Diaz and that's Keera playing Luci Lu :) We're gonna miss her bunches as she heads back to New Orleans way.

Hello to all my friends and family :)

Yessiree bob - my Bro is in Oz safe and sound... for now. We have a bunch of struff planned, including his PADI diving course in a week but for now, here's a pic of us at Rusty's Market two hours after he got off the plane - looks pretty good for 2 days of travel on him, ay? And we'll be setting up his own blog to post a bunch of his time over here... I'll post thye addy here after we set it up and be sure to check it out.

G'day Folks

G'day to all my friends and family back home. I hope you enjoy these pics of my trip up to Cooktown (named after the explorer James Cook who first settled there)... I had to take a flight on a small plane ( think Sand Piper from Wings) to get there, but it was a wonderful flight and an incredible day. I'll be taking Pat up there to see all the wonders, but we'll be driving so he can see all the tablelands and rainforest along the way. I've included a couple of pictures for Meghan of a roo and some frog mouths perching on a branch... it's momma, pappa, and their youngen about to learn to fly.

I think about ya'll all the time and you'll have to check out Pat's blog... we'll set it up when he arrives.
