Pat and I went to the Cairns Tropical Zoo today... his students insisted he get his picture taken with a koala bear and we aim to please :)

John Butler Trio Concert

Hey everyone :)

Pat and I joined a few friends for the John Butler Trio concert last night up in the Tablelands and it was incedible. They're a popular group over here in Oz that blends rasta, folk and jazz for a totally unique sound. They're getting big enough that they even toured the States a few months ago; so if you ever get a chance to pick up one of their CDs, I highly recommend it.

Lake Placid

Hey Ya'll back home.

Today, Pat and I went for a paddle on Lake Placid. I've posted pics of this wondrous place before, so I'm only posting a couple more. I hope you're all having a great summer.

Ola... it Fiesta Time!

Hey Ya'll

What would a visit from Pat be without a Pina Colada Day? He makes an awesome one from scratch and everyone enjoyed ém without a doubt. Back on the OBX, all of us would meet for breakfast and then move on to Pina Colada Day; but for the folks out here, we waited until lunch to get things going. It was a good thing, too... most folks over here have never heard of a Pina Colada and they were in high demand once they had their first taste. Had we started the day after breakfast, we would've run out of Colada by afternoon tea time.
