Little Update

Hello everyone back Home :)
Here's a picture I took on my morning beach walk on Sunday. It's about a 5 minute walk from my place and when the wind comes out og the northeast, the blue water comes all the way into shore. When it blows from the southeast, the sandy bottom inside the reef gets stirred up and it's not as picturesque - bet ya'll can't wait to come on out and take a looksee for yourself :)
Pat will be out here for a few weeks in July/August and besides enjoying the views with a cold beer and a couple of rum drinks with those little paper umbrellas, we'll be doing a good bit of hiking and biking (I'll have a second bicycle by then to share with any visitors who happen my way), fishing and snorkeling, hopefully some kyaking if I can find a decent used one by then, and of course - the big event - enrolling Pat in a PADI scuba certification course of 2 full days of classroom and pool work, followed by a 3 day/2 night Reef cruise that includes Pat's 4 open water certification dives followed by another 5 dives. The boat is a live-on-board yacht, so we'll be spending 2 nights on the Reef and hopefully enjoying a bit of night diving as well. And no worries... I've already got him excited about the reef sharks. (Does the name Bruce mean anything to anyone? LOL).
Anyway - not much else is happening... for now. The rain makes plans a little unpredictable, but I've gotten in a couple more hikes and some good bike rides (there's a nice one - about 30k - that winds up down at the Baron River Gorge). We've also finally hired 2 more nurses at work, so the workload is becoming a lot easier to handle.
Well - Cheers for now. Luv ya'll. Matt :)

Hi ya cuz. The beach looks very nice and calming. Sounds like you have all kinds of plans for you at Patrick!! Expect me to be there in about 4-5 years. ;-) But don't expect me to scuba dive. I'll just sick on the deck and sip cocktails!! I had 70 on my deck yesterday afternoon in the sun...hahaha. Today is supposed to be in the 50's and then going to be colder later in the week...of course for St. Pat's Day it's going to be in the LOW 30's maybe!!! Of course, just because I'm going to the parade in Syracuse with Cheryl and another friend Collette. We all went last year and had a blast.
Love ya, Me
